This is a standard light fixture

Unscrew the holder for the switch on the end to open

With end off of switch you can remove the yellow end

With the end cap off you can now remover the white cover

Lift off the cover

here is the fixture opened up

Twist and lift the tube out

This is where the power comes in to the fixture

This is the switch wires

Cut the red & black wires free from the transformer ( you won't use it)

cutting done on the power wires

Now cut the switch wires

Transformer is not connected

On the other end this is the switch

Slide the tube holder out

now you can pull the switch out too

Use a flat blade screwdriver to release the wires

On the strip look for the wire on the right to be the positive side mark by the +

Insert that wire in the switch & tighten with screwdriver

Wire inserted

One wire gose in the switch the other from the strip is not

Here you see that better

Now we use the wire nuts from the package included with the strip

You need these 2 wire nuts

connect the wire from the switch to the red wire with the wire nut

Now take the black wire and the negitive wire fron the strip and connect them

Like this

Now place the switch back in the fixture

now on the strip back we are going to place tape

Take the double sided tape from the package included

and stick one about 1 inch from each end of the strip

now peel the backing off each one

and place in fixture and press down to stick in place

After testing, place the cover back on

now place the yellow end back on

so that it covers the edge of the cover

Now screw on the nut that holds the switch in place

The red wire to + and the black wire to -
