Move in to the Stratosphere

Live in luxury on a piece of American history. Built on a reclaimed military airfield that once housed a massive blimp squadron, The Mastlight today has everything you could want in a life outside of Boston: a commuter-friendly location just 2 stops from the city, amazing lifestyle amenities, and acres of pristine, wide-open landscapes.

Defenders of Freedom

During World War II, the US Navy built a massive airfield in South Weymouth, with giant hangars to house anti-submarine blimps. Through the war, the ZP-11 squadron protected the East Coast from the dreaded German U-boats. Some historians say that a ZP-11 blimp, which crashed near Maine in 1944, was actually shot down by a German sub deep in US territory. After the war, the Navy decided to close down the historic airfield as part of its Base Realignment and Closure Program.

From Airport to Homeport

Today, those forgotten airstrips are making way for the area’s most stunning and livable luxury apartment community. With amazing resident amenities, beautiful views of the surrounding open landscape, and easy access to Route 3 and the MBTA Commuter Rail, The Mastlight defines a new kind of city life: a life removed from the noise, pollution, and traffic, but with all the accessibility and convenience of Downtown Boston.
